Epiphany Caring For Life is a non-profit organization operating
out of Church of the Epiphany in Coon Rapids, MN. ECL has offered a
wide variety of short and long term pregnancy support to women and their
families in Anoka County since January 1997. What do you need? We
are here to help.

You can call ECL anytime - 24 hours/7 days a week. All calls
are strictly confidential. If you need a resource referral, are you
experiencing a difficult situation or just need to talk, we’re here
to offer our support whenever you need it. Please call the 24 hour
care line (612) 803-2225 if you would like to schedule a maternity
closet appointment, or if you are approved for a crib and need to pick
it up.
The Epiphany Caring For Life maternity closet carries newborn
to 2T baby clothing, seasonal clothing, baby bottles, blankets, crib
sheets, breast pumps, maternity clothing, and much more. If you would
like to request other baby equipment or would like to fill out a crib
or financial application you may do so at your maternity closet appointment.

ECL offers limited financial assistance, as a last resort, to
help cover childcare expenses as you return to work or for respite care.
ECL also offers limited assistance with formula, gas, medical co-pays,
etc. Fill out an application at the maternity closet or call the care
line to request an application (612) 803-2225.

Through our companion program, ECL offers long term support to
women who are interested in planning and pursuing short and long term
goals. Companions are trained in community resources and are available
to offer their support and feedback. Sometimes it is nice to have someone
to talk to or bounce ideas off of. A companion is someone that doesn’t
have an emotional history, personal motivations or expectations in your
life. If you are in need of many resources, or are in crisis, a companion
becomes a point person for referrals and support. A companion can be
requested at any time through the care line (612) 803-2225, or
at the maternity closet.
ECL offers miscarriage support through its Angel Wings program.
If you are experiencing a miscarriage and need support or referrals
we are here to help. If you have had a miscarriage in the past and
have unresolved issues, or are pregnant again and having mixed feelings
or uncertainties, we are here to help. Angel Wings volunteers share
the experience of miscarriage and understand.
ECL is in need of new or gently used baby clothing and items newborn
to 2T. We also accept swings, highchairs, pack and plays, crib mattresses,
etc., that are in good condition and working order. ECL accepts car
seats that are 6 years old or newer. Donations may be left at the parish
office (around the back of the church) or call the care line (612)
803-2225 if you have many donations or larger items. Please include
your name and address on the donation if you would like a donation receipt
mailed to you.

Volunteering for Epiphany Caring For Life is fun and very rewarding.
Our clients are great and a real joy to work with. Volunteer opportunities
can be groomed to your lifestyle and level of commitment. Currently
ECL is in need of companion/befrienders, phone volunteers, closet helpers,
donation sorters, haulers, and general support. Whether you want to
meet new friends or ‘pay it back’, ECL is a great volunteer organization.
